Outer roof trim split !

Hi just getting over the excitement of my restored girl, :dance: yet another prob and its this (scuse back of me head believe me looks better than the front :lol: Think a year or so ago some turnip!! TRIED TO BREAK IN :twisted:

You have to take out the rubber seal at the top of the doors
and back windows.Which involves taking out the inside panels

You'll also need tin snips to cut slots in the metal where the rear windows bolt through.

For now i may use electrical black tape, another guy used this and he said it works as long as its done very neatly, using a special strong glue to bond it :o

How did you get the rear windows out then?

as they dont come out until that trim is removed and you cant get to the screws to get the trim off until the rear window is out??

loosen all the plastic nuts from the window then push it out this
gives you access to the metal trim then you can unscrew it

you can get it out with out cutting the holes but if you cut slots it makes putting the window back in so much easer now that the trims have gone hard
