It sounds to me like you may have a small overheat prob that came along at the same time as the fit of an FMIC, I have a/c and FMIC and no probs on stock thermostat, how hot is it where you are?

i live in Greece and the summer is really hot. like 35-40 celsius. the prob is that the second scale of the fan starts at 120 degrees. i need to find a fan switch to start lower like 1 scale 95 degrees and second 105

How is it running woithout the thermostat in?
If its ok, then the thermostat was shot and not opening fully. get a new STD one.

its the same with or without the thermostat, both ways the engine temperature is very very high

If it's getting really hot without a thermostat then what good would a cool running stat make?
Sounds like you may have a huge air lock or semi blocked water ways. (if your lucky)

Re: lower temp radiator thermostat fan switch
i have no prob with the water pump like leaks or some noise. temp was checked through TECH1 and the temp gauge was ok. my headgasket was repaired at EDS in 2004 but i dont know what job was done.
callyman what do you mean by huge air lock?
