I had the same problem with my 8Valve Calibra a year ago. Easy solution, sell it, that's what I did !

The sunroof is so complicated that I couldn't even get a local garage that wanted to look at it and the Haynes manual is no use either.

I think if you have tried manually closing it with the large Allan Key and it didn't work then you are in for a hefty bill at the main dealer.

If you have a search on here there is loads of info and procedeures about fixing the sunroof. The most common problem I've found is the screws come loose that attach the motor to the sunroof. You might want to check these first although they can be a bit tricky to get too.

yeah, like Icewizard said...... and if the roof is fooked completely you can probably get your mits on a second hand complete roof from here or ebay for less than a fix job at the dealers:)

Wow! That is a nice motor!!!!
Can u hear the motor running? Or is the motor just not doing anything? If it is moving it will either be as Icewizard said the motor coming loose or the same problem I had with mine the cable had gone to the end and popped off. (I'm asuming u have a twin cog one due to your v grille)

if you remove the motor you will be able to push it to the closed position.
Might save you a bob or two untill you can figure out whats wrong
