Haha , I know who your pal is & that was quite unfortunate there was a high bit on the bonnet wher a previous owner dropped the bonnet down on a socket or something like that . Hammers are always good at persuading stubborn metal

Went to start the car on Saturday & bang ! Totally sh4t it as I thought the timing belt had snapped ! Turned out the power steering pump was only held on by one bolt & it snapped !
Stripped it off tonight , gonny try & drill it out tomorrow .wish me luck

Big thanks to Calibra guru Craigyboy for coming to the rescue last night & fitting the new belt for me . Still can't believe you need to take the mount off & split it to fit a poxy £ 15 belt >:(

I had to grind that part off as the cast was cracked so just
drilled it out with a 8.5mm drill bit and used the longer bolt.

Pop up during the week mate and we'll get that aerial base and sunroof fixed
