Thanks man.
The dark headlights really do compliment the car well it doesn't look out of place.
Cheers again. I though why not freshen the lighting on the vanity lights :P

HID's fitted and my gosh what a difference! I never wanted to be an annoyance on the road to other drivers but with the angel eyes fitted.. the beam was so bad, I could barely see at all and especially in the hills where there is no lighting whatsoever. So in summary it was dangerous driving at night. Now its much better and I've adjusted them so as to not blind people. Im also on the lookout for calibra headlight adjuster motors which with my factory switch lets me adjust the height of the lights. Very rare but im sure weill be very handy!

Some before and afters.

Keep in mind the the stock light output my phone couldn't pick up the light beam properly because they were too dim.. and with the HID's they were too bright for my phone.
But you get an idea ;)

Im much much happier on the roads now. I can actually see where Im going. One of the best mods to date!

Photo Update!

Photos of a fellow mcm-er's s13 from Melbourne. He swapped his front end s13 for a 180sx. Lights and all! Looks really cool and will have people and cops alike scratching their heads and double looking :P

Photo's of my latest mod. Excuse the shocking quality as it was low light and the shadows from my hands.
Finally learnt how to wire a switch into my car to power these $4 Ebay DRL's i bought a few years ago.
Not very functional but I mostly wanted to put them there since it'll be something different. I would've preferred to put them more towards the outside edge of the front bar but sadly opel didn't make any room for me. So in the middle opening of the grille they went!

They do do the job of making my presence known to other cars in the hills which is all I really wanted them for.
Opinions?

She now has a semi major coolant leak from somewhere :'( Suspected water pump since the leak is from somewhere central of the engine bay from within. The radiator definitely isn't at fault since I installed a new one 3 months ago. Looks like a big operation is needed. But will be taking a good look during the day time since last I looked was at night time with my phone's camera flash when I had the car on ramps.

For something a little different. I found a few pictures of my first car. My 1979 Honda Accord 5spd manual. 1 owner before me at the time and only 78,000 k's on the clock. Twas a great car to learn manual in :P

Very sad to say goodbye to my best friend! RIP - Diagnosis, motor died.

Image

My calibra gave me a smile every time I started it up and took it for a drive and was the best car I've ever had. I loved it more and more with each day.
I fixed its major coolant leak due to a leaking hose and after a short lap around the block, a loud bang and a rattle 5x louder than a diesel.. she doesn't turn over anymore. Suspected piston failure. RAA confirmed this, and so did 3 of the best mechanically minded family members I have.

Im having a good hard think what to do from here. Either sell it as it is, drop in a reconditioned engine down the track or wreck it for parts.

I know I'd die for this car but I'm also thinking down the track. Im considering all options for my future with this car. I guess it all depends how much I'm willing to spend and how long I'm willing to keep it running. I have seriously considered a daily in the meantime till I sort out my cali.

The new car is most probably a definite but for now will be a surprise. Any guesses what it might be? and no hints or clues will be given. I shall update as details go.

Thanks for the support guys.
Definitely I know that I will be able to find engines easily that will drop in but I'm not sure if I've had enough of the calibra bug. Gotta decide the future of my car. I definitely looked after it like it was my newborn and loved it more every day
