why do you keep your cally ?

For all general things Calibra related

why do you keep your cally ?

by crinklebender » Mon Jan 14, 2013 8:22 pm

Ive had two v6 ten years now... but hardly use them, nice backup or summer car when the main driver is playing up..

Every year its oK time to get rid of it.. wont bore you with my reasons.....I keep hanging on to it...despite the MOT bill... Pretty elusive why, it was never a dream car for me, just needed somethng with a big boot....Had variety of sports previously, RX7, X19, sylvia turbo. Tried the porsche 944 (standard).. Cally has a really nice feel.

whats you reasons for holding in ?

cant afford what I would really like ..and the ones I can afford are just the same as everyone elses out there ...so I keep it as it suits me just fine, easy enough to work on, cheap enough to run (since I do hardly any miles in it ) and I like the shape of them

Just not anything out there that I would buy apart from cars that I can't afford, any V12 Aston Martin would be great.
Mark...........It's Red........It's a V6............It's an SE9!..............and She's bad.

suppose thats it, the price to get a major improvement is like double to four times running costs on all levels.. And yeh that shape is still very alluring..plus the general feel of the drive has a certain all round something.

Was doing my training when they first came out, so know them back to front, upside down, inside out....
Always wanted one
Spent too much to let it go
Nothing else looks like them on the road (standard or kitted)
Easy to work on
The look on audi/bmw drivers faces as you breeze past their '61 plate repmobiles

Oh yeah and it's MINE......
I used to own this Calibra...
I now own this one.

I've just got back into one last week, absolutely loved it.

I made the decision to come back last month, in the middle of a threesome. I thought "life's too short - great car, get one bought!"
