petrol tank sender

i managed to find one of these on ebay the other week which was actually in not that bad of condition. as we all know the two pipes on top normally rust and either have holes or break off.
so for only £15 i took a chance and bought this one which looked like it only had a couple of bits of rust on the surface. and thankfully both pipes were actually in pretty good condition

after a rub down i put some Kurust on it to treat it

after one more coat

next thing up was a couple of coats of hammerite paint for a bit of added protection for when its fitted

it is now put by in my increasing spare parts cupboard :D so if the day comes that the one fitted to the car just now fails i know i have one sitting there to replace it :mrgreen:

Nice find....it must have been from a very late Calibra i'd have thought.

the seller said it was taken off a '97, so yeah one of the last ones :D
