Not forgetting the white instrument cluster when you can't see how fast you are going at dusk.

That's when it seems to regard hovering next to the red zone as normal and you have to put the heater on full on a warm day to help the radiator fan cool the engine down.

I suspect that the radiator is not really big enough.

I have already removed the Thermostat, for little results...

Now I'm going to fit a Radiator Fan Switch, that kicks in at 10 degrees less, than the standard...

The Radiator isn't all that old either...

I tried that when i had problems with my 2ltr ecotec. the problem with the one i had was because it kicks in 10 degrees less it will try to cool the water 10 degrees less than normal and while driving the car the temp never got down to that to switch off the radiator fan. I went through 2 fans before i changed back. I changed the thermostat and radiator and that worked for me, i did notice that the radiator fins were full of all sorts dead flies etc. it may be worth removing the radiator to clean it.

No problems when driving it.

Main gripe is that garages don't like having to deal with it, as its a diagnostic headache. one mechanic said "sorry not dealing with v6, too complicated !"
