well thanks to v6 Steve for the help today my astra is now sitting on a full new suspension kit. the mot's due in a couple of weeks and i had my suspicions that all was not well with it. was getting a really bouncy feedback at the front end which made me think the shock was away on the passenger side.

when Steve was removing the rear springs both had broke off at the pig tail so it would have failed the mot on that anyway so was a good move to get it done before it went in.
