Metal rocker covers.
Metal rocker covers.
After a nightmare with oil leaking from the rocker covers and onto the exhaust i have finally purchased a set of vectra ones
:D. Just waiting for the paint to dry and the new gaskets too arrive then i can sort the problem out once and for all
. Will post pictures up of the car and engine bay at the weekend as its been while
.

Tell me about it, the guys at work have been complaining about the smell of burning oil and every so often on cold mornings the burning oil looks like the radiator is blowing steam from under the bonnet
Its really embarrassing tbh

Re: Metal rocker covers.
Needed to add a bit of white paint to the red, then it would match the cars colour

Mate...
Did You always intend on putting the Engine Cover back on?
If so, why then bother to paint the Cam Cover???

Why not?? They look a lot tidier painted now then the greasy looking things they were. Also gives him the option of having the cover on or having the cover off. Also personal preference as well, at least he knows they are tidy.

Fair Point!!!
I gave mine a good clean yesterday with some Carby Cleaner and a Wire Brush, and now I'm having second thoughts about painting them...
