unfortunately that is what sells the mag, all these young guys have been brainwashed with its got to have Power...and they dont give a damn about the actual looks of the car

I have had this at shows where they come up and all they want to know ask "is it a turbo" ...its the culture of today

Its a great shame ...and I seen this happening in Total Vauxhall (now there is an ironic name ) a while back and never botherd buying it again

Chin up mate at least you know its worthy

I'm not disputing the power your car has Steve. I said in my email to you as such. I think it's an excellent choice of engine. And by bodykit I was referring to the spoilers and sideskirts, along with the other show-style mods such as the M3 mirrors, wing vents, angel eye lights, neons, etc.

There's nothing I can say that will make you agree with me, but ultimately everyone should build their car to their own tastes, and if you get a feature then that's a bonus, but if you don't you've still got a car that you're happy with.

Dan you might want to go back and look at the pics of my car again or brush up on what is standard on a calibra, and there has been a lot more "show-style" mod'd cars in TV than mine,

and yes i built the "Drain" for me to my taste but many people have told me they like it not to mention the hundreds that voted for it to win the VBOA chairman's cup at the end of the day ill still have it and your readers will just need to enjoy next months corsa or astra as usual

I'm aware of what TV has featured in the past - plus there are cars that have been featured that I'd have chosen not to (not necessarily referring to Calibras there, so I'm not trying to be argumentative).

The mag will continue to feature a wide range of Vauxhalls/Opels/Holdens etc, not just Astras and Corsas. It has always been that way, and will continue to be that way

There are no Vauxhall cars that we'd discount (although I've yet to see a feature-worthy Agila!). As I said there is nothing that's going to make you see it from my point of view, so I'll stop cluttering up your thread, and leave you to it.

I have taken on board what you've said Steve - And have replied to your comments accordingly.

Ultimately I didn't have to take the time to reply to all your emails on a Saturday when I should've been spending time with my family, and nor did I have to take the time to come on here to try and explain myself further as I felt bad that you were so angry at my decision. But I did, and all I ask in return is that at very least take a moment to see it from my point of view.

I can understand your displeasure, but sending the magazine back is going to do nothing other than waste your money. I'll just add it to the list of office copies and get on with my day.

As proof that I'm not 'anti-Calibra' any Calibra owner reading this who wants to send in some pics of their car - I'll promise to get it in the 'Hall of Fame' section of the mag. As long as your pics are of a decent size, and useable I'll put it in the mag.

What has Revs got to do with anything? They radically changed the whole magazine into something completely different and that's what killed it. It has no bearing on TV.

because that is what is happening to TV, every month in the last couple of years The magazine has moved away from the original concept of what the magazine was all about geniune vauxhall enthusiasts who built there cars with passion and enthusiasm and it reflected what you could do with time and hard graft, but now It would seem that if it is not what is new or what style the sheep are following, your not interested,
The Revs comment ,That started off with the same principle genuine hard working enthusiasts with a passion for there cars.,I know exactly how much work has went into Steve's calibra's and yes it has the Led's but if you have seen the work that has went into the drain the Se2 4x4 calibra, and steve is also the man responsible for building the 2 calibra trailers which were at billing, and how stunning his work is you would see that It deserves an article

Dan i sent you 3 emails 2 of which where replies to yours, at no point was i expecting a reply tonight but as x factor was on and you replied to me i replied back, now that you have made you decision so quick less than 6 hours from when i sent you the pics and my 1st email that just proves to me that you haven't given my car a proper look, and as for the hall of fame comment looks like your trying to get members on your side, i will still be sending you my TV as it will remind you every month that there is at least one reader not happy with the content anymore

and just to clarify iv not been angry about not getting a feature but annoyed about your reasons for not getting the Drain a feature

I did take the time to look at your car Steve. I also saw more images of it at work the other day and discussed it in the office, which is why I was able to reply to you as quickly as I did. You wrote a long polite email to me so I thought it only courteous that I reply and explain my decision.

I always make a point of replying to similar emails where possible, but it's situations like this when I question if it's worth it. Would you have been less cross if I'd not replied at all?

By all means post your mags back if it makes you feel better, but I have enough on my plate at work to worry about a disgruntled car owner, I don't often open the mail, so whoever does will just put it back in the box of mags, achieving nothing.

It's your car built to your tastes, it's not my taste, or the style of car we're looking for. And that's all there is to it. Sorry it's not what you want to hear, but all the arguing in the world isn't going to change that.
