It's a plug but never seen one like that used outside the car Industor. I would look at RS first, Maplin was the last I looked at.

These are often called LED sockets which is misleading. The only place I can find them is RS Components here:

When I found that some of the holders had rusted away (due to almost inevitable slight water ingress) I just replaced them all with directly soldered in LEDs of suitable colour temperature together with series resistor on each one. Should never have blown bulb again.

simmilar to what im doing got the leds that have the resisters in them and poluged them in but im doing a how to on replacing the full board so wanted to know where to get em

When mine was repaired a while ago...my mate just took the bulbs out of the holders and bent the bulb wires so that they went through the circuit board holes, secured with a dab of solder...sorted.

Gordie did you ever sort out that rear brake light hope it didn't take too long to do, I did mine in a couple of minutes with the use of one of these.
