Re: Anyone Tried this - Air Con Recharge
nope but your are beat getting it checked first for leaks by a proper air con person, they put a fluid through it and then run it at pressure, any leaks show up, or the guy does s sniff test to locate the leak,,,,from that you know if its worth the bother to get it working as it could be many things that are fault like the evaporator which is behind the dash and is a bugger to change
I doubt that will fix leaks and if it does it wont be for long ...£25>£30 gets a pro to check it out
there is usually one at Billing who charge about £40 to do it or only £10 if they find it leaks

Re: Anyone Tried this - Air Con Recharge
In addition to what Faz has said, by simply topping it up, it doesnt remove the old gas which over time absorbs moisture and reduces the cooling efficiency anyway. Adding more gas wouldnt necessarily help depending on the conditions at the time.

Re: Anyone Tried this - Air Con Recharge
i got mine redone at work last year when i had the v6, went into the car after work thinking it would be freezing when i turned it on only to find out it had 2 burst pipes, so in the end ripped the air con out. Fraz is right get it checked before you spend the money re-gasing it
