What are day running lights, how do they fit/ differ from the existing light setup?

In Italy the law was introduced several years ago that you must have your lights on at all times outside urban areas however local plod is quite strict that it must be dipped headlights, on-the-spot fine if caught with just sidelights.

It's the EU poking it's nose in again, all new cars from this year I think must have lights all the time but what I don't understand is only on the front!
Mark...........It's Red........It's a V6............It's an SE9!..............and She's bad.

Yes, all 'new' cars must have running lights. All the VW's (cough, spit, splutter) at work have had them for ages.

By making it look like all the 'new' cars on the road?

It stood out as it was mate, don't be a sheep...

Unless you meant stand out from other Calibra's??

And another thing....

Bikers have their headlamp on during the day....

How long before car drivers 'forget' and see one 'day running light' and think it's a car??

Pull out from a junction, and BANG, a biker flies over the car with a possible road fatality....

I think it's Best to Show some 'Before and After' Photo's!

That's when You'll really be able to tell, if it's suitable or not!

It's just like trying on a Pair of Jeans or a Shirt! ;)

You won't know how good they'll look, till You try them on!
