for a show car 19's will look sweet, but if your driving it every day you will feel every little bump in the road, hit a few pot holes and you will soon have a problem, the side walls on the tyres will be next to nothing ...I would alos think you will get them hitting the arch if your goig at speed and hit a small bump (allys's does with 18's)

as Fraz says when i pushed mine on if you hit a dip in the road at anything above 70 it would rub at the front. i believe Norrie got round this by rolling the arches on the front when he had the 18ins fitted.
although i no longer have this problem as i have more sensible 16in alloys fitted, all be it on a different motor

If you use the car all the time then I'd go with 17's.

a lot of it comes down to the suspension you are going to use as well as the width of the wheel's you are going to put on have just fitted 18's by 7.1/2 wheels with a 40 offset and there is more clearance than with my 17's by 8 with 35 offset.
Now with 2XSe9 V6 flame red calibra's

19's would look good but are a bit impractical for every day use. Would make a good show car though.
