some advice on learning to Drive
some advice on learning to Drive
The wife has decided to learn to drive
but looking at the cost of lesson these days it aint gonna be cheap, i remember when i had my 3 lessons it was 9 squid an hour
i know some of you are instructors etc so what do you think would be best?
1. forking out for a crash course.
2. putting her on the cally insurance and teaching her myself then fork out for just a few lessons to see if she is ready.
3. take out a hefty mortgage and just pay for lessons.
4. anything else you can come up with
also the wife thinks that if she gets to drive the cally she might start to like the thing

well i wouldnt advise learning in a cally...worn clutch, crunched gears over revving etc plus its not small or good visability.

Re: some advice on learning to Drive
at the moment we can only afford the one car
so either she learns to drive the cally or i will have to join some poxy corsa forum
so i think the cally would be the perfect learning car dont you agree

The insurance will cost you an arm and a leg mate, probably cheaper to buy a batch of 10 lessons for £200 ish. (what my boy paid about 18 months ago)
Nothing succeeds like a budgie with nae teeth
Up the Hibs!!
Now with added Vectra VXR power
Now calibraless

Re: some advice on learning to Drive
it will depend on ages mostly for teaching her on the cally. the big plus is that if she can drive and park a cally she will deffo be able to take the test in a small 106/ corsa

Re: some advice on learning to Drive
it may actually reduce your insurance if you add her too even if she is a learner reason apparently they only have small claims where we go the full monty
mine dropped by nearly 70 quid just by addin her even though she never drives it
