Project: Modified SE2 - C20XE
Re: Project: Modified SE2 - C20XE
Update:
Yellow lights, to ice-blue-white lights.
Had to sort out a blown headlight so decided to use the uprated 6000k bulbs I had from the other Calibra, along with some led side-lights. Free upgrade and huge improvement over standard though HID's wouldn't go a miss.

Re: Project: Modified SE2 - C20XE
Today:
Decided to update that worn-out looking interior, as door cards were bubbling, speakers weren't working in the front, and seats were worn to buggery. Little did I find, previous owner had put in some new Kenwood speakers and the standard ones weren't actually in there and nothing had blown but they hadn't wired anything up correctly, and I had to check with a multi-meter and bang, found the right place to wire it up, so two working new speakers, and replaced a tweeter. Both door cards replaced, and all the seating.
From:

So bad the previous owner had cable tied the split in the bolster!

Tired looking door cards.

And alot of wiring.
TO:
An immaculate interior.

Apart from the bird that sh*t on the doorcard and that's going to have to be cleaned off, but isn't it meant to be good luck.
Just now a hoover and a clean, with some leather treatment for the leather which is in pristine condition!

Re: Project: Modified SE2 - C20XE
Small update, got some aero wipers, and a richbrook Vaux tax disk holder, looking really to get the richbrook gear knob and handbrake handle next I think.
Apart from that the car is going to have a major service soon, including cambelt, tensioners, and waterpump. It's been treated to a fair bit and it felt like xmas this morning in my living room.

Car after a wash the other day:

Shame the paint doesn't match it needs to be done again.

Didn't expect a box this big:

Genuine stuff.

Next hopefully = skirts and nubs off.
Plans = white alloys, and tart up the engine bay.

Re: Project: Modified SE2 - C20XE
on the close up the door trim/bump strip that you have taken off is it going to be painted or are you going to fill the holes in?

Re: Project: Modified SE2 - C20XE
When the aftermarket skirts are done, these nubs will be ground off, filled in and sprayed, along with the skirts to be fitted and all done at once.
First off the head, gasket and service is being done along with timing belt etc.
