to get the code press the 2 buttons together a code will come up and then let go and another will come up , let me know what the codes are i will tell you mate :-)

also i think its a chap on cavweb that does em for about £15-20 dunno if he is still about but i think fraz or rob knows who he is!

right,
when I hold the 2 buttons down, after a few seconds, on the top line it says '91', on the bottom line it says 'EC:01', then after I let go it says on the bottom, '8350'.

Going by that excel 'memories' spreadsheet, the computer is setup for Cavalier, program code 91.
Well. Looks like I definitely need to get it reprogrammed. The thing is, I don't know who can do it. Oh dear.

I've found a garage in Cheshire who have the Tech1 device and can reprogram it, they are independent vauxhall specialists. So guess i'll have to book my car in to get it done. Unless anyone knows any independent vauxhall specialists closer to home? (derby)

The guy for re-programming is called Ian Till...he used to have a site on which it told you all about the re-programming and how you could contact him, but the site has been deleted....although you can contact him through www.astra-mk2.com , and his name on there is 'Ian T'
