Loss of power-steering & now engine management upset
Hi,
I think this may be a common problem?!?!
I was driving my J'reg Redtop 4x4 home when my power-steering failed. I had only got about a mile & a half to go so I limped it home & then the engine management started to get upset! By the time I got home, the engine was idling terribly, I managed to reverse up my drive, parked & then the engine stalled. It was late, so I left it for the night & to be honest, I haven't been to investigate yet as I've working away and I had to help set-up my friends 200 sx's for Castle Combe (yesterday 19-04-08).
So now I am trying to collect information before I go investigate.
Thank you in advance for any help or information you can share!!
Cheers!

It's sorted!!!!
The problem was:
> Power-steering belt gone
> Alternator belt gone
> Battery dead/ FBAR'd
> ECU particularly upset by loss of belts and death of battery
So, change of belts & battery and running for a while has solved the problem!!! Fortunately, no loss of fluids and no seals have failed to my knowledge. Running-well now!
