Recently bought a se9 with 17s on it with215-45- profile on them and i geting scrapping / scrubbing from the rear i think its just the tyre size but am just a bit worried it could be something else anybody got any suggestions as the mot is soon due.

Has the car been lowered? if yes then by how much. 45 profile I think is abit on the big side and should 40 also what is the offset of the wheels?

the cars sitting at what appears norm, but the wheels are right on the lip if not slightly proud of the arch offset is wrong but on 17s shouldnt the tyre size be 215/40 or 205/45.

It sounds like the offset is the problem, they's not that much between the two profiles but yes 215/40 is what most use.

take a wheel off and the offset will be stamped on the inside of a spoke should read ET....
