Central locking - Car won't lock!!

by debairaclijr » Tue Apr 08, 2008 9:21 pm

Hi all,

I've had problems a few times where my Clifford500 plays up during the cols and after heavy rain. Usually it just means resorting to using the key to lock, then arming with the fob for a week or so until it one day just fixes itself. But this time's different. It locks all doors on arming the alarm... but then unlocks straight away leaving it armed but open.

Now i'm planning a trip to manchester soon, no need to tell you that i'd like to get it sorted before I go.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You have a faulty door motor sit inside and set alarm
and see which lock does not stay locked this will be the faulty one
i will go for drivers door as if you lock this and all stay locked thats the one

It can be that or if moisture -water is going trough door seal and get near central lockin relay/ecu (under plastic cover by the codrivers feet - note that my car is LHD so that would be drivers feet in your case) - atleast that was in my case - solved water issue and disconnecetd relay let it dry good for few days and after that everything worked ok...

Passenger locking mechanism is sticking manually move it back and forward to losen it up. Try the central locking.

lock the passenger side from inside then central lock with bleepr from outside.
