Any electrical issues

Couple of questions????

by willster174 » Wed Mar 26, 2008 11:02 am

Hello there

Does any one know how I go about removing the heated seat buttons in my centre console? One of the bulbs is not working but I cant see how to get them out?

Also not really electrical but does anyone know where i can get the headlight washers (plastic bits) ?? Have tried a couple of scrapyards but no luck. Mate has a 1991 cally and has had both of them nicked

Thanks

all you need to do to remove the switches is get a thin flat headed screw driver and put abit of cardboard over the end and the slide it down the side of the switch and prise the switch out. They will come out easy enough.

As for headlight washers, take it you mean the sprayers in the front bumper. If so when i collect my car from the bodyshop this week i'll see if he has kept the old bumper as mine had them both.

Thats interesting, where the bumper mounted washers fazed out in a certain year? Is the wiring still there on the loom on later models?

Thanks Hulmie, does the switch itself come out of the holder or does the whole console come out?

Also would be great if you have the sprayers, yes they are the bits he needs

I am not sure why they phased the headlight washers out to be honest

Thanks

its just the switch's that pop out. You can take the holder unit out if needed by removing the screw thats at the back in the little tray between the switches.

Not sure if they phased them out as my Cally is P-reg and that has headlights washers.

Thanks again will have a go at that when I get home

Mine is a 1997 P-reg and does not have the washers. The only ones I have seen are G, H, J, K and L reg ones which have the washers

Has yours had a replacement bumper then
?
