Suspension top mount
Suspension top mount
Does anyone know if you can get uprated front top mounts for the struts on a V6. I have koni adjustables shocks and it is lowered by 35 mm and struts are pushing the top mounts up and splitting them? Any suggestions would be great.

aye robbie they tell you that they are no longer a service item but they can still get hold of the parts , there is three ways that we used to do it when i worked at vauxhall, 1, check other dealers,2, get them sent from opel, 3,or phone vauxhall stores to see if they have them in stock there, just because there not a servicable part , dealers can still get hold of the parts

I'll keep an eye on this thread as I want to change all the top mounts and other parts that are related to them. Haven't tried looking around myself as yet for places to purchase but do intend to. In the meantime will be sitting vigilant at my screen!

OK the hangover has cleared a bit....
Here is the picture from the sachs website
The Sachs website has a dealer locator.
Also here is a picture that Sam @ LMF sent me when we were trying to source parts.
Sam said part numbers 21 and 22 no longer a 'service item' but could get me part numbers 14 and 15.

That's great, just what I was after. Now to track the parts down. Just out of interest, what parts would you suggest replacing? If I'm gonna do it proper then suppose it's better to replace all the necessary bits at the same time? part no.18 is a defo as I'm missing one of those!
cheers

I take it the friction bearing is no.25 on the picture? If that's the case I can never remember seeing it when taking off the suspension. All I've got from memory is no.23 & 24? I take it 24 is the top nut? It's a pity that there's no price list on the site, well not that I could find anyway as I'd like to know a rough guide to price of things I intend replacing?

Well I'm fitting new dampers and springs, and I shall be replacing numbers 14, 15, 21, and 22.
Number 24 and maybe number 25 should come with the new dampers.
