immobiliser chip?

so if the bit taped to the receiver thing wasn't the chip, and my key is broken and empty, and theres nothing taped to my ecu... where is the chip?

it will have been the chip or it will never have started, i was referring to just slapping a wire in somewhere to get it started

oh. thinking about it... if that was the chip, it shouldn't have started when hot wired yesterday, surely?

well the wireing is a right mess by the sound of it so i guess anythings possible

well that would explain how it started yesterday if this was the chip. Stu has just said they thought that too. i wish someone would know for sure tho [img]/laugh.gif[/img] really no point trying to find out why the car aint starting if it still wont start anyway coz of the immobilser!
