F28 and Speedo Help/Advice Needed Please
Hiya's,
Think i have come across a stumbling block in my plans .........
Plan for cally was ........
Let + F28 + Mk2 GTE Digidash
Now my cally has abs
I assume without checking the clocks come off abs ?
My plan now is using cally turbo clocks, But F28 was already fwd converted and had GTE Plastic Speed Ring put in (the f28 actually came out of a Mk3 astra which was fitted with digidash)
For me to use turbo clocks what would be my best option ??
Could i check tomorrow and see if clocks are abs/cable/elec type (i assume they came in abs/cable/elec transducer types on calibras ??
The more i think about it the more i'm getting confused lol
Any help/advice would be much appreciated
Many Thanks
Ciao

Hiya,
The cally is on a L plate
Will get over to where it's stored and try and check clocks tomorrow
Ahh if this makes any dif ........
In the week i had a loose fuse, It took out my rev counter-water temp-rear demist/mirrors and petrol gauge ! (speedo worked though)
If this loose fuse effected my rev would that suggest the rev is elec so would be ok with my elec f28 ?? makes sense to me but i'm used to gte's
Ohh well after guys called for magnex zorst i selling i'll go have a dash-rip-out session lol
Cheers

Nope the Rev counter is electronic on both...
Early mechanical, Late electronic clocks both have electronic rev counters.
You could use a set of electronic speedo clocks by using the ABS signal to drive them, this also has it's problems... Depending on your type of ABS system will determine how easy it is.
You may need a small circuit to convert the signal so the clocks work correctly.
