ECU Pin-out - Lambda sensor
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 16v (red top) engine loom?
All I can find is a diagram but it doesn't say whats what!
I'm trying to wire in a air/fuel ratio meter so need to know which wire is the signal wire from the lambda sensor, I know I could probably trace it back from the sensor but the only time I get to work on the car it's dark!
Any help much appriciated
Thanks
Rob

I know its not gonna be as good as a wideband sensor, but I had it laying around from a project I started a while ago that I was going to be getting a wbo2 sensor for (I had megasquirt for it, but I never finished building the engine!)
I think I have a cavalier haynes somewhere, I'll have a look at that, but I'm not spending £15 on one for the calibra just to get the ecu pin-out! I'll wait until I have something that I NEED to do!
Thanks

Ok, I've had a look at the haynes manual for a cavalier, the wiring diagram for the 2.0 16v says that I want pin 28 which is a brown/blue wire, I connected it up and either something is very wrong with my car or its the wrong wire, the gauge is reading very rich even before the engine is started, then when the headlights are on it drops a bit but still very rich and doesn't move at all while driving
I'm not sure what to do now, I have a new lambda sensor that came with the gauge but I dont really want to put another lambda sensor in just for a gauge!
Could someone thats fitted an air/fuel gauge help me out here?
Thanks

Ok, I had the right wire, its just that my lambda sensor was buckled, got a new one in now, just need to find somewhere nice to put the gauge
I did have it where the clock goes but now I have a fuel computer in there, now I'm thinking either under the stereo but that would look better with 2 gauges like the original vaux jobbie but I cant think of another gauge I want! or a gauge pod on the door pillar?
What do you reakon? Answers on a postcard!

I'm going for a fuel pressure/oil temperature gauge. Only thing I haven't got a guage for at the moment.
