Yea this is how most "instruments" are set-up in any industry, gives you a fail safe if it goes kaputt:)

i did have one spare but sold it to a calibra owner in brazil(!) for £10.
they cost £34 from vx, but try autovaux or online salvage dealers, that's your best bet.

You should be able to pick a second hand one up as they will be the same in the Cav engine as well.
