brake probs??
ok had this posted in brakes n suspention to no avail so please dont move it mods:nono:
i've got a problem with the brakes being spongey at the moment, first press is non existant, if i ease off then press again then the brakes bite like chuff, so im thinking they need bleeding, go to kwik fit and ask them to do a free brake check and also bleed the brake system. the guys there say the system needs pressure bleeding??????, and that they cant do it cos they aint got the kit. they send me somewhere else and they look at me stupid and tell me they cant bleed the brakes till next thursday. ffs i only wanted the brakes bleeding and a check to make sure nothing else was at fault. can anyone give me any advise as to what to do, dont mind getting stuck in myself just thought this would be easyer how wrong was i

I would check that your brake pads are free in the carriers. if the pads Are sticky when you brake the calliper will twist rather than push the pads out with the result of a spongy brake.have you heated the brake fluid or done brake pipes that you think that they need bleeding.i have heard of the seals on the master cylnders flipping round then not being able to pump fluid.best to just open the nipples and let the fluid run through on its own.
