Gonna have to do this soon. How easy a job did you find it and are all Calibras using the same part?

I'm pretty sure they changed over to the new ones in 1995. The old 'push on' (if only it was that easy) ones come in a two sizes, but I'm pretty sure you'll need the 22mm. Phone vauxhall parts to confirm it.

It really helps if you put them in hot water for a few minutes to shrink the rubber bush and then coat with ****loads of washing up liquid and twist on.

To get the old ones off, use a hacksaw to cut all the way through it then break it off. Sand all the rust and crud from the anti roll bar before you fit the new one.

:iagree: The push on ones are a pig to change, next time I think I'll let the garage do it. Helps to get an axle stand under the car then gently lift the wishbone with a trolley jack to align it.

You will need to look at the drop-link, jay so we know exactly what type it is.
It's either the ball joint type or the push on.:icon_nod:

My 94 Calibra SE4 had the ball joint type and was dead easy to change, did both sides in 30mins IIRC.

They are the push on type. Gonna be doing them on Sunday. So any tips apart from warm water and washing up liquid?

Quick question, is this the front or rear roll bar??
And could this rattle be the answer to allans thread coming from the rear ??

Cheers for that, just sat at work and wondered if that could of caused the rattle that allan/kate was on about in another thread
For some strange reason i cannot recall what the roll bar looks like on the rear.

cheers again
