my ecu light is on in my corsa ive flashed the codes and they are the following
16 - which i think is the knocksensor 1 (where is this located??)
13 - oxygen sensors (ive got a wire lose i know about)
31 - RPM signal ( crackshaft sensors) ?

would a dodgy oxygen sensors cos any of these or not ? (apart from 13)

Code 31 will show up when you're flashing the codes with the engine not running.

16 is the front sensor IIRC

I have been trying to fix this on mine code 16.

Have been suggested to wd40 the contacts, and reconnect. There is a known fault in the wiring loom for this sensor. Will be putting mine back together later this evening, fingers crossed.

This website will show you all you need to know about ECU faults, codes and sensor locations

Also, make sure its torqued up to the exact correct torque setting - they're very delicate in the way they work so it has to be spot on.

You're right though, the wiring gets screwed as it runs over the engine, gets hot, and breaks down.

If you look at the website all the info is there, Fault code 16 is number 1 knock sensor which you can see on the pic

Mine is showing signs of being fixed with a little wd40, not convinced yet, but will have a decent run tomorrow.

did you disconnect the battery for 1/2 - 1 hour after you cleaned the connection, you need to do this to clear the fault code, try it after you have d/c'd the battery to make sure before you go ordering new sensors
