How to remove heater controls to change bulb

by Turbochops » Mon Oct 24, 2005 12:51 pm

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to remove the heater controls to change the bulb? Ive tried priesing it out but to no avail. Is there a screw or screws that need to be removed first to free it. Secondly where abouts is the bulb located, is it one or 2?

Thanks

Yeah there are four screws holding it in, two behind the clock/trip computer and two just left of the steering wheel, they're hidden behind some trim. There's just one bulb, you should see two purple wires going up to the bulb holder which slides out. There should be enough room to wiggle a new bulb in.

Hi thanks for the quick reply

Ive managed to locate and undo the two screws behind the fuel computer, but cant fatham how to get to the other screws that are behind the trim?

Can you give me some more detailed intructions of which trim i should remove to get to these screws. Is it the trim panel that surounds the bottom of the instrument cluster and top of the steering wheel trim i need to remove?

this guide is for the instrument binnacle but a lot of the prelim stuff is the same. When you do the job get an led to go in there as well as the bulb blows on a regular basis

Do you need to take the steering wheel off to take that piece of trim off that sits below the instrument cluster?
