Fuel computer stalk wiring

I know this has been answered before but having read a few posts it appears it is possible to wire the stalk to a plug in the passenger footwell instead of the back of the yellow connector. This would be a lot easier for me to do as the yellow connector is very tight and hard to get to.
Is this possible and if so how do I do it?
