Power steering fluid loss
Calibra Turbo 4x4 1993
Driving home last night about 2 miles from home there was a loud whiring from the front of the car and as I pulled over and the steering was like a tank, upon further inspection all the power steering fluid had drained from the resevoir and was all over the floor. I got the car home and refilled the the resevoir to see where the leak was from and to my amazment it was coming from what i can only describe as an over flow pipe next to the RH wishbone . Can anyone tell me where this pipe goes to ,as without stripping the inlet manifold of I cant see where it goes also the 4x4 warning light has come on is this to do with the loss of fluid .

The pas fluid pressure is used to push the car into 4x4 on a hydraulic seal in the tx box, once the seal has gone the box is stuffed!
The tube will be the breather tube from the tx box, when the seals blow thew fluid from the pas flys out of the tube everywhere, its no use refilling it it will just come out, you need a new tx box, but you can drive in 2wd by changing the tubes to the accumulator you can get the pas to work and just drive in 2wd, i cant remember the site that the info is on on the tx box bypas thoughbut its quite easy, much better to get it fixed though.
The best thing to do is take it to vts

Quick fix is to pull out fuse 19 and refill your PAS fluid - this sets up 2wd and closes the PAS-to-tx box valve. This should be fine until you bypass the pipes or get a new tx-box fitted (tho some people do drive their cars like this for years with no probs).
