Looks like just 3 bolts to undo......

Image

Gonna be a hard job then!!!

Undo the lower ball joint nut then hit the part of the hub where the stud goes through with a large hammer, whilst applying downwards pressure to the lower arm. You should hear the tone change when you hit it as the lower arm free's off from the hub.

Then just undo the other two bolts slide the arm out and refit the new one.............
I used to own this Calibra...
I now own this one.

There a good chance the nut connecting the anti roll bar link to the wishbone is seized up and may shear when you try to loosen it (these things are prone to snapping just from everyday use after a while). For what it costs have one on standby and replace this whilst your doing the wishbone.

As Daz said... get a couple of Anti-Roll bar links as well and fit them at the same time.

Other than that, with a ball joint splitter it's a quick and simple job.

Where are you getting them from? How much?

Thinking of getting the wishbones from <a href="http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4566377733&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1" target="_blank">here</a> dont seem like a bad price plus they come with all the bushes, balljoints and sleeves

That looks to be a pretty good price! I bought new ones from Camberley Auto Factors in Basingstoke a couple of weeks ago. They cost me about £24 IIRC but that's each, not for the pair. Might be worth a look if you wanted them urgently though Rob, not too much more when you factor in the postage saving!

The turbo ones were an uprated item. Not sure about the V6.

Best to check it out though.

Si, found this in the Haynes manual -

There was a change in the design of the lower arm in mid - 1993, with a strengthening flange along the seam on the forward facing side of the arm and a modified inner profile. The new design gives greater strength to the area around the front pivot bolt.

Ive check with the Ebay seller and these are the uprated ones.
thanks for the reminder
