wiring advice please

need some info on wiring.

1) does the exterior temp sensor wiring go all the way to the back of the d.i.d or into a plug in the engine bay somewhere near where the relay box use to be. I have a big 5 pin plug there with only a blue and blue/white wires in it. is this something to do with it or for something completely different.

2) whils checking for the wiring under the bumper i found a connector (big black thing) with black and black/yellow wires. What is this for does anyone know??

it has a conector near the fuse box in engine bay

sounds like the one for the headlight washers

oh and moved to the correct forum

and the 5 in ones ound sthe right one

have now wired in the d.i.d using the wires from the trip computer loom
All working ok. Now this might sound like a silly question but is the display supposed to be permanently lit. is it not supposed to come on with the ignition? Have i wired it up incorrectly. please advise

Errm, just on with the ignition I think.. . I've certainly never noticed mine lit when I'm not in the car!

yes it comes on with ignition only

Under the relay box, should be a 5 pin connector with the two blue wires, and a yellow and brown wire.
If this plug is unconnected the wires will not be located near the bumper. If this connector is connected to another connector with blue wires on both sides the wires should be already down by the bumper.

I do not appear to have the Fuse/Relay box under the bonnet so where will I Find/Connect the Temp sensor up from.
