K&N Cone Filter
Hi all, I recently fitted a K&N Cone Filter 57i which was fitted to an 8v model.
All runs well, much more power I'm sure
, but there's an odd noise coming from the filter itself, like a slow popping noise or drum roll! Any ideas

Re: K&N Cone Filter
LOL Yeah I was hoping for a bit more of a grunt than a pop!
Re: K&N Cone Filter
Are you sure you are really feeling more power?
Standard air boxes may not look great but they scoop in nice fresh air instead of warm stale stuff from inside the engine bay. If you're going to plumb in a cold air feed, you'll almost be back to where you started.

Lol, no I'm not sure at all be we all try these things don't we
Cold air feed already set up along with a heat shield for the cone though I do need to move it closer to the headlamp!

It always brings a smile to my face when someone fits one of these with no cold air feed. Looks good & draws more volume of air in...more volume but less dense & stale.

Re: K&N Cone Filter
the air wont be that warm when your on the move iv fitted a temp sensor next to my K&N cone to see what the intake temp is and when your driving its cold even with out cold air feed and heat shield ( yes its better/colder with heat shield and cold air feed) the noise your hearing is called induction roar
