Eastbourne Airbourne - Featuring the Canadian Lancaster

I wouldn't class myself as much of a photographer but I've always liked taking photo's. Bought a Nikon L820 bridge camera a month or so ago as my old Olympus digital camera was beginning to pack up (not quite ready to shell out on a full DSLR just yet) & have just got back from a weekend in Eastbourne for the "Airbourne" air show.

Aircraft have always been a passion of mine & this year really is a once in a lifetime experience to see the Battle of Britain memorial flight joined by the Canadian Lancaster "Vera".

Seeing this two warbirds together was remarkable & when you add the two Spitfires flying with them (the Hurricane was grounded for whatever reason this time), there's nothing better than the sound of 10 Rolls Royce Merlin engines flying overhead!

Here's a selection of some of the pics I took.

Admittedly, most of these have been cropped on the camera prior to transferring them to my laptop so the focus ain't brilliant in most of them but it's kinda difficult stood on a beech (with a few beers inside) tracking objects in the sky moving anywhere from 120mph to 700mph! I think I took about 200 in total, mainly of sky with a blurred dot in the corner lol!
