just got given 3 weeks notice, boss came in at 4.25pm 5 mins before we finish and breaks the good news to us that we finish up for Christmas on the 20th and we wont be starting back in January, looks like ill have plenty of time to get the cars ready for next years shows just wont have any cash to buy any thing

Ahh mate that's turd.

I got made redundant 5 years ago around the same time (just coming up to Christmas)
Luckily I found a new job & started in Jan. Still there now & it's the best job I've ever had & pays more.

I hope things work out for the better for ya.

It's all to do with redundancy pay that company's don't want to pay so they employ you on a temporary contract and 're employ you when the contract expires hens keeping you on edge
