First Calibra
First Calibra
hey everyone i just signed upto the forum today i have just bought my first Calibra an SE6 off my grandad due to writing off my Puma 2 days ago when the front left tyre went and i hit a tree (see below) id just fitted the wheels earlier that day having bought them off ebay... lesson learned
so i ended up with the Cali which was for sale anyway ive only had a chance to take it out for a few miles as im still a little banged up but i really like it so far, this Cali has been in the family for 5 years ish and gone between my father & grandad who are both very sound mechanics and as such the car has stayed in very impressive condition and has had a lot of work done to it it has 60,004 miles on it and bar 1 or 2 very tiny bits of rust & a few stone chips (see pics) is perfect, within the past 500 miles its had
- New Clutch
- Belts All Round
- Alloy Refub
- Full Serivce
- New Brakes/Calipers
- New Side Skirts (not sure what there called the black plastic along bottom of sides)
- 4 New Tyres
so i wasnt complaining when i only had to pay £700
i as i have said i have never owned a Calibra before i have owned Puma's & Corsa's so this is a new experience for me is there any tips/advice youpeople can give me for keeping my Cali in top condition
(i know pic's arent the best but will get better ones on a clear day)

Re: First Calibra
welcome to cc.net, nice looking se6 you have there. apart from the usual up keep and servicing the 8v engine is pretty much bulletproof.
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

Mate...
It's always a good thing, when You know the Car's History!
It looks to be in 'Great Condition' and it being kept 'Very Original'
is always a good sign!
Best Wishes all the way from Australia!
