ps3 wifi

i have just treated myself to a ps3 and i have a netgear wi fi thingy, the problem is when i go and try and link it i click on the icon for the routers settings it is asking for username and password, now i cant remember what it is so does any one out there know how i can retrieve it as i wanna go on line

tazz is this not the network name and password to access the wifi, wouldnt you have the wep number on the back of the netgear router

if i remember rightly you need to go onto netgears page but you do it working offline. i phoned the helpline and they talked me through how to change the settings. believe it or not but they are really quite helpfull

Are you talking about your playstation network username?

the netgear wifi router has its own user name the can be changed. the playstation network username is added after you set up the wifi connection

i was using a netgear DG834G router if your using the same mate go to work offline and put into the address bar http://192.168.0.1
username= admin
password= password

you can now change the network name and password, hope this helps mate i reckon it will be the same for all the netgear routers

as for the ps3 wifi thingy damo just do a serch on google and see what it comes up with as i had the same problem when i had a ps3 and that helped.
