Manually triggering central locking motors

by pr0xZen » Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:37 am

How do I manually trigger the central locking motors to open/close? More specific, the fuel cap and tailgate. I guess the location to work from is the plug at the central locking relay/control unit - but then what? Short pin XXX with pin XXX ? for a split second or keep it shorted?
Both my passenger motor and central unit died, don't know wich killed the other. I have to wait a week for new parts - and I'm already running on fumes and dry toast.

I'm sure you can open the tailgate with the key as it doesn't deadlock, you can then get to the fuel cap motor and simply remove it temporarily

Because of ICE installation, I'd rather save tearing the boot apart, for last. It would take many hours.

Ok, Black/red and Black/yellow. 12v and ground, turn around for locking/unlocking.
