Bilstein B4 shock absorber with Gmax - 40mm springs

Currently have the Gmax-40mm kit and need to replace front shocks as one is leaking oil, have found the bilstein b4 shocks on lmf and was wondering if the Gmax springs will be ok on these or do i need to go for the B8's which they state are purposely for lowered springs, but these are a bit more money than i wish to spend.

Also the shocks are different to what i got in the Gmax kit where the shock was just an insert, with the bilstein they have the carrier for the shock and holder for the spring, does all the wheel assembly bolt on to the bottom of these.

I bought the B6's from LMF and it was a strut insert that was supplied.
