i have a p reg v6 and last night while driving all the lights went out and the airbag blew and smacked me in the head now when the cars running and i put the lights on the stereo goes off and if i put full beam on the car stalls any ideas peep please its my first cally had loads of cav sris but this is all new to me ta

sorry but the vision of the airbag going off and hitting you in the face made me chuckle :lolsign: :eek:

sounds like you have some real electrical problems there mate. if you know your way around the cav then you should be able to figure out most things on the calibra, they are basically the same.

cheeky f**ker lol it was a bit of a surprise to say the least but at 80mph in the middle lane at midnight with no lights was a miracle i didnt smash my new baby up

Obviously some of the loom is earthing out, most likely at the bulk head, start there and work your way around [img]/biggrin.gif[/img]

Ps if you need a new airbag steering wheel i have one here, £20.

You could just unplug the airbag to be safe [img]/biggrin.gif[/img] Or not, depends how you look at it lol

by the way my volt meter reads 14 all the time so thats ok i think

so u doubt it could be the ecuim also getting probs with the boot ans bonnet alarm sensors had to remove them sort of.it just kept ticking and wouldnt start

A burnt out voltage regulator in the V6 alternator is a common problem and can lead to very bizzare electrical effects... to check, just make sure you've got a 100% rock-steady voltage reading when you rev the engine.
