Sunroof goosed!

My 97 V6 roof goes up and down OK, but won't go back. No noises, nothing, just refuses to move!

If there are wires showing then you have the single cog, if its all in one unit you have the two cog.

I had trouble with mine last year and animal really helped! it just shunted back and forth slightly no lifting and then stopped.

I took it apart and just played with it, it seemed that the runners had come out of alignment with the motor and that was it!

Been away, but just got the headlining down and found that only one screw is trying to hold the motor on. Found two of 'em, seem to remember one falling out of that little hole about 18 months ago!

Anyhow, one of the four springs is bent to f**k. Put the end back in but it is a bugger to straighten out. Anyone got any ideas how to do that?
