Heated Seats

Hey guys and gals, need a bit of help here!

My passenger seat doesnt heat. the light on the switch works but the heating element in the seat does nothing, where should i be checking and any advice please!?

Have you checked the old connecting wires to the seat, should be a plug/connector under the seat.
If you have a DVM you should be able to measure voltage there.
Also around the hinge the wires have been know to break there aswell.
Worst case i guess the element have gone a resistanc check may help out there but unsure what a good one would be untill i measure one.

ok its been a long time since i did physics, but if

V=IR
then V/I=IR/I
then V/I=R

R=V/I ------> = 12(?)/20
=0.6 ohms? or am i using the wrong voltage?

P=I x V

P = power or watts

so I= 20watts/12v= 1.666

then V=I x R or R = V/I = 12v/1.66= 7.5 ish ohms
