Fuel relay/ idle problem
Hi all,
can someone please tell/show me where my fuel pump relay is? i have tried a search and everything i read tells me it should be behind the drivers kick plate, but i cant see it! ive taken photo's of behind the drivers and passenger kick plates, and the fuse box in the engine bay.
the car is a '97 SE7 Ecotec 2.0 16v
i'm having idleing problems, so far ive changed + cleaned icv, changed mass air flow meter, plugs, leads, crank sensor, cleaned cts contacts + breather pipes, ive got this and a new feul filter to try! the problem i'm having is once the engine is warm the car won't idle!?
i've only had the car a few months, it did it when i bought it, stopped after the above part swaps and now the problem has returned! can someone shed some light please!?
thanks in advance

well the fuel relay wont be at fault if the car is running. have you checked your coolent sensors. as they could be faulty. cus when the engine is cold it will tell the ecu its cold so the ecu will put more fuel in. if the engine is warm and its still saying its cold the engine will stall.
also if the above fixed the prob and now its returned do you not think that they could be at fault. have you a cone filter on it. as that can draw in hot air and cause it to have idle probs.

no standard air box, engine bay is totally standard. although one of my next mods was going to be a cold air feed onto the standard air box wih a high flow filter! But i'm not modding till i've fixed it
i've tried cleaning the CTS, maybe i should try replacing it!?
i've already brought the fuel relay so i may aswell replace it with the new one regardless, but i still cant find it :frown:
