fan help!

the fan on my v6 doesn't turn on when the car gets up to temp.
i've changed the rad switch (twice) and i'm pretty sure the thermostat is fine and i have currently by passed the rad switch so it is permanently on.
can anyone shed any light on where i should be looking next? i'm thinking it maybe one of the relays (I think there's 4) but without buying the relays, i'm stuck as to how to check them.
