Brake warning light
My brake warning light is on but it stops fine, all the discs and pads could do with replacing so I'd appreciate some recomended brands and suppliers but is the light likely to be a sensor?
I'm new to Calibras, apologies if this has been asked a thousand times before!

I am in the same boat as you, need new front discs and pads! (and tyres but thats a whole other thing!)
I planning to go for Tarox discs and pads, drilled and groved. Cause lets face it the Cali's standard brakes are NAFF!! It takes alot to stop and then the ABS kicks in!
Also seen a guy on Egay, others from this site have used his disc, they look the business and apparently perform well. His ebay name is "mtec100"

There are two lights on the dashboard for brakes
bulb failure and worn pads.

The brake pads were re-newed in the last MOT roughly 6000 miles ago and the light was still on after they were replaced. The car passed the MOT so I presume it would have failed if it was a bulb failure so bulbs are fine. Would this be due to a sensor malfunction or maybe a wiring problem?

It's been roughly 6k miles so I may aswell give her a service anyway. How much will the sensors cost? It's a 1994 2ltr 16v redtop. I think I have read that you get two different sensors (prob in this forum, I'm juz bein dozy n cant see it!). I presume there is no difference in their quality, it's just one is for pre 92' or something? If changing the sensors doesn't help what else could it be?
