Anyone found a way of burning cds to play on old cd changer?
Anyone found a way of burning cds to play on old cd changer?
Guys , ive found that my philips cd changer refuses to play new burned cds and i dont seem to be able to play any of my own efforts no matter how i change the process.
Ive read online that it wont play mp3`s ( which i new it wouldnt ) But im stuck with getting it to play my burned disc still.
Im trying nero ( as suggested ) and burning as audio disc and ive also read that the burn speed needs to be reduced to x4 only and ive tried this but still no good.
Just wondered if anyone has come across this before and won!
Cheers rich

Stop being such a tight b****** & go buy some original CD's instead of burning dodgy downloads!

I know you won't do it, especially after sourcing your lead but I'd have fitted a modern stereo with iPod/aux connection and hide it in the glovebox, giving you the benefits of a modern audio system while keeping the original appearance

Tbh, ive got a fair few original cds but prefer my own disc without the s**t tracked mixed in.
Most of the music i listen to isnt av on cd anymore anyhow as im sort of stuff in a time warp!!
Have managed to get disc burnt that play the first track only but no more..
Have just got a new software that allows speeds of x1 and x2 so that along with the right disc and i could solve it.
Im a real sod for solving issues and will only give up when it tried everything!! I like getting my own way! LOL

Have you tried the two formats? CD+R and CD-R or something?
There might even be more than that

What colour are the back of the discs? I always had trouble with blue and green ones. All silver ones seemed ok

I doubt CD-RW will work. Most early players would not read those but would be happy with a CD-R.
Sounds like you have an old head unit. Decent ones don't cost a lot these days. I got a USB one with bluetooth for £120 a few years back. It was a Pioneer too so not a cheap brand. They are likely to be even cheaper now.
CD is awkward. USB & Bluetooth are much more portable. Either one will allow you to fit your music collection in your pocket. You couldn't do that with CD.
