brakes just will not work!

Hi
Long story but will try to keep it short, car was at bodyshop for nearly a year brakes worked bringing it home but were not great.
Replaced front calipers and changed front flexi's to braided, bled brakes and..... pedal went to floor.
Replaced fairly knackered front brake pipes, still no good.
Took to garage they had it for 3 weeks replaced knackered rear flexi's and master cylinder, it was not at fault they then put on a replacement abs pump and it still would not work.
They then gave up, said they could'nt fix it and dumped it back on my drive. (didn't charge me though! small bonus I guess).
However just spent a frustrating day with my dad checking and trying to sort it, so from the top servo is ok, master cylinder also works and is pushing fluid as is the abs pump, we pressure bled the whole system so there should be no air in it but although slightly stiffer pedal still goes to floor.
SO does anybody have any suggestions/ideas before I torch it or put it on ebay!
So far all Ive come up with is to try another master cylinder or another set of callipers as up until I put the callipers on it was working but they are as new recon units and so shouldnt be faulty.
Would really appreciate any help or advice anyone could offer as Im at my wits end.
Thanks.

Not sure about the abs light as have just fitted digital dash, what does pulling fuse do? main problem is that it may be the second abs unit that has been fitted is also faulty but I dont really know anything about what it does, how it works or what could be wrong with it.
Will check pedal and fixings though.
